Our Background - Who are we?

Shema Lawn Care’s fast, efficient, personal touch comes from a long history of involvement in commercial and residential lawn care. 

Shawn was born and raised in Oklahoma. His parents owned and operated their own lawn and landscaping business and gave him his introduction into this industry. He was his father's “right hand man”, going with him on jobs and learning to run large mowers at the ripe old age of 10. Shawn left the business in 1994 when he joined the United States Navy.

Shawn met Dana by way of the Navy in 1999. The two of them have been married since 2000 and have 2 children. They purchased their first home in 2003 and they have been taking care of properties together ever since.

After 20 years of service, Shawn retired from the Navy in 2015, and the 4 of them settled just outside of Lynchburg in Goode. The home they purchased was on a heavily wooded lot that had been neglected for quite some time. They have spent the last 5 years cleaning and restoring the property, putting Shawn's Oklahoma Master Gardener certification to good use. Taking care of their home and dissatisfaction with working indoors is what finally led Shawn to turn his hobby into a business. 

Shawn pulls from his love of the outdoors, long landscaping history, and military career to bring a professional commitment to customer satisfaction you won't find anywhere else. He is punctual, courteous, and strives to return your call the same day.
